We are in a message series called "The Church As A Vineyard", exploring the metaphor of the vineyard which is used throughout the Bible and applying it to the church and to our lives. Last week we explored four conditions for fruitfulness – orientation to the son, fertile soil, the right climate and the slope of the hill. This week we are going to take a step further and look at the process of growth.

We are starting a new series called "The Church as a Vineyard". In this series we look at how throughout the whole Bible the illustration of a vineyard is used to symbolize the people of God, or the Kingdom of God. It is a place of abundance and blessing. And in the coming weeks this picture of the vineyard is going to serve us as a metaphor to discover more about what God is doing or wants to do in and through us. Today we are looking at the first topic: Conditions for fruitfulness.
